Carolina del Olmo (Madrid, 1974) is Director of Publications at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, as well as of Minerva, the Círculo's magazine. With a degree in philosophy from the Universidad Complutense, she has been a translator and has published several essays on issues related to urban studies and cultural criticism. Since the birth of her first child in 2009, her research focuses on motherhood and care, particularly on the analysis of expert discourses around parenting, as well as on the effects of the dissolution of the social fabric on maternal practices. She has published ¿Dónde está mi tribu? Maternidad y crianza en una sociedad capitalista (Clave Intelectual, 2013), an essay now in its eighth edition. She was a founding member of the cultural action collective Ladinamo and the research group Observatorio Metropolitano de Madrid.
