Valencia, 1959. Graduate in Educational Sciences. Attended the Contemporary Art Workshop with Isidoro Valcárcel Medina. Master's degree in Aesthetics and Art Theory from UAM (Autonomous University of Madrid).

Creative research through performances, installations, texts, and workshops has been a constant in his individual and group activity up to the present.

His interest in understanding the creative process as dialogue runs throughout his career: first in theater (the cooperative Ivanov, the groups Teatro Nuevo Nueve and Teatro del Final). Later, he refined his approach towards the performative field and, together with Alejandro Martínez Parra, they created La Constructora. From that point, he became part of the collective A UA CRAG, where he began his exhibition and visual arts projects. He founded the magazine Caminada in Madrid with Miguel Nava Cuervo. Together with Jaime Vallaure and other friends, they founded La Zona de Acción Temporal in Madrid. One year later, they created Circo Interior Bruto. At that time, they called themselves Los Torreznos (Jaime Vallaure and Rafael Lamata), and have created more than thirty performance pieces, and about twenty audio and video pieces to date.

In parallel, he has worked in the field of non-formal education and has written a manual on creativity in groups, two books on participatory methodologies, two books of poetry, a novel, and an almanac of the present.
