Nils Menrad (1976 Nürtingen) studied media art/film at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe. He was a scholarship holder at the International Opera Workshop Schloss Werdenberg (Switzerland) in 2010 and 2011, two years later Menrad founded the dokKa dokumentarfestival Karlsruhe. Since 2015 he has been a board member of the Kinemathek Karlsruhe and since 2019 a lecturer at the University of Music in Karlsruhe.
