Lewanne has more than twenty years experience as a footage researcher, an archival producer and research director on independent, network and public television projects as well as multimedia for on-site and internet exhibition, and web-based educational programs at Columbia University. She was nominated for a research Emmy for her work on "With God on Our Side," a series on religion and politics. Among the many outstanding projects that she has contributed to are: EYES ON THE PRIZE, ABC’s CENTURY, PBS FRONTLINE and AMERICAN EXPERIENCE. Her expertise includes audio-visual and general research, project management, database design, and permissions/copyright clearance. She has researched in and licensed footage from numerous foreign archives. Her most recent big project will be seen on PBS in Jan 2011, Firelight Film’s Sundance-premiering documentary for American Experience, "Freedom Riders."
