German director, cinematographer, and educator. Trained in film directing, she works independently from Cologne in the fields of directing, camera, editing, and documentary production. She has contributed to numerous film biographies — including works on Margarete Mitscherlich, Alice Schwarzer, Jürgen von der Lippe, and Diether Krebs — and has developed documentaries focused on struggles for recognition, respect, and equality.

Currently a professor at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences, she teaches documentary and experimental filmmaking and supervises students in their final film and bachelor projects. Committed to gender and diversity issues, she advises institutions and individuals on equality and work–life balance.

In 2003, she co-founded LaDOC, a network of women documentary filmmakers, and since 2009 she has directed the company Mein bewegtes Leben.
